Don’t Fear the Gaming Machine

A buzzword that’s unnecessarily turning people away from certain computers is the “gaming machine.” Usually, when we recommend these to customers who are looking for a power machine, we get the response, “Oh, I’m not a gamer.” Fortunately for them, these machines can do much more than give a great experience with the latest games.

A gaming machine will typically be really beefed up with it’s video card (or chip), it’s processor, and the amount of RAM. The latter two are key for a computer to run fast and smooth with any application, not just games. Many times, these machines will also have an aesthetically pleasing look to them that will separate your computer from the boring looking boxes.

The cost of a gaming machine will be higher than a normal machine, but not necessarily because it has the title of being a gaming machine. The parts inside are typically higher end and of good quality. Gaming laptops are a good example of this where the screen may be of better quality along with the keyboard. These computers are many times optimized to make full use of all the parts in conjunction with each other in order to squeeze every little bit of power it can muster.

Most manufacturers have their own line of gaming systems. Dell has Alienware, Asus has Republic of Gamers, and Lenovo Y Series computers are some examples. You’ll notice really quick that bright flashy lights are popular with some of these systems! Some even offer customization that can be done to the outer case to really make your computer you.

We are more than happy to help you find a machine that fits your needs. Come in or give us a call and we’ll be happy to match you with your next favorite computer – whether it be for work, pleasure, or a mixture of both.
